Siblings Like Lucy Get to Be Kids Again

My sister, Hannah, was a very active kid. She loved basketball, running, and practicing lacrosse. She was spunky, funny, and could talk to anyone about anything. She made friends everywhere she went.

When Hannah was diagnosed with cancer, everything changed – for her, and for me.

As a sibling, it’s hard to go to school every day when you’re constantly worried about your sister. I’d get home and sometimes Hannah was in the emergency room. I didn’t get the updates everyone else got.

It felt like I was in the background.

It’s not easy being a sibling. We struggle too. We’re expected to keep up with school, friends, and our own lives while our brother or sister fights for theirs.

A Kid Again changed that for me. They see siblings too.

For the first time, I felt included. I could get away from all the medical stress and just be a kid again. A Kid Again gives siblings a chance to laugh, connect, and feel seen.
