2024 Solar Eclipse

Adventure News

The 2024 Total Solar Eclipse will take place on April 8, 2024.

According to NASA, a solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and the earth.

In a partial solar eclipse, the sun, moon, and earth aren’t perfectly lined up, so only part of the sun will appear to be covered. In a total solar eclipse, however, the sun, moon, and earth are perfectly aligned and people who are in the center of the moon’s shadow when this occurs will experience a total solar eclipse and see the sky darken as if it were dawn or dusk.

After April 8th, 2024, the next total solar eclipse that can be seen from the contiguous United States won’t take place until 2044!
