Social Media & Content Creation Intern

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

A Kid Again fosters hope, happiness and healing for families raising kids with life-threatening illnesses. We provide year ’round fun-filled activities for the entire family alongside other families a similar situation. We call these Adventures and they occur multiple times a year and are at no cost to the families. 

We are seeking a part-time Social Media & Content Creation intern who will assist with our social media efforts. You will learn about A Kid Again, a nonprofit with a 26-year history, and help us create collateral and manage social media as a productive part of overall marketing efforts. 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Interns must be able to think creatively and build designs that are consistent with our brand standards. Interns must also be able to monitor social media accounts, schedule posts across social media platforms and brainstorm content to share on social media and our website 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating and editing graphics, visuals and short videos for social media 
  • Writing content for social media & website 
  • Scheduling social media posts 
  • Monitoring all social channels for mentions, comments & tags 
  • Working alongside the National Marketing Specialist to create content

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Canva 
  • Advanced grammar, spelling and general communication skills 
  • Hootsuite or other content scheduling platform experience preferred  
  • Experience with WordPress preferred

Please note that this is an unpaid internship position, but A Kid Again is happy to provide an evaluation to ensure that students receive class credit for their participation as an intern.
