DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Description 

A Kid Again fosters hope, happiness and healing for families raising kids with life-threatening illnesses. We provide year ’round fun-filled activities e for the entire family alongside other families a similar situation. We call these Adventures and they occur multiple times a year and are at no cost to the families.

We are seeking a full or part-time interns to assist with a wide variety of duties, including (but not limited to) event planning and logistics for adventure and fundraisers, email and mail communication, and various types of administrative support.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with data entry, database management and communication to families and donors.
  • Assist with Adventure Events preparation and day-of-event activities. For example:
    • Kings Island Adventure
    • Father/Son OSU Basketball Clinic
    • Mother/Daughter Pampering at Charles Penzone Grand Salon in Dublin
  • Assist with Fundraising Events planning and execution. For example:
    • Full Throttle Open (Central Ohio General Contractors) Golf Outing:
    • Time Out 2016 at Schottenstein Center
    • Stars and Strikes Bowling Fundraiser

*Please note: this is a tentative outline of possible projects and duties and additional duties may be assigned later.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office/Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.)
  • Data entry ability
  • Advanced grammar, spelling and general communication skills
  • Ability to operate copier, scanner and fax machines
  • Interest in fundraising/development

Please note that this is an unpaid internship position, but A Kid Again is happy to provide an evaluation to ensure that students receive class credit for their participation as an intern.
