Fundraising Specialist



This position is responsible for logistics and revenue growth for fundraising events for the Indiana chapter, based in Indianapolis IN. This role is designed to focus primarily on fundraising and revenue generation for the chapter. The role will also play a part in managing certain aspects of communication for the chapter.


  1. MANAGE THE REVENUE GROWTH AND LOGISTICS FOR FUNDRAISING EVENTS FOR THE INDIANA This includes working with leadership to plan event budgets, secure sponsorships/teams/etc. and all logistics associated. Specifically: Golf and Capes & Crowns (peer-to-peer fundraising event). 40% of time.


  1. EXPAND THIRD-PARTY FUNDRAISING EFFORTS FOR THE CHAPTER. This includes identifying new opportunities and expanding current relationships. Specifically: Esports, DIY fundraising, Be A Kid Again Day. 20% of time.


  1. DEVELOPMENT OF ASSOCIATE BOARD. This includes identifying and recruiting young professionals in the community that have an interest in our mission, attending recruitment events (IndyVolved, Get on Board, etc), coordinating meetings for the group, helping them set a vision for impact (including fundraising support), development of a recognition program for their involvement. 20% of time.


  1. RESPONSIBLE FOR SCHOOL RELATIONSHIPS IN INDIANA. Identify and manage relationships with local schools as potential fundraising support for the Indiana chapter. This includes visits with schools, coordinating fundraising opportunities with administrators and teachers, and developing tracking for follow-up and This would also include working with colleges/universities to establish A Kid Again clubs and encouraging them to do fundraising. 10% of time.


  1. MANAGE E-NEWSLETTER AND SOCIAL MEDIA. Collaborate with Executive Director and Program Coordinator to send out monthly e-newsletter and manage Chapter Facebook page. This will include participating in calls with the national marketing team. 10% of time.



Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit administration and/or fundraising necessary. Must also have successful career experiences in relationships management, communications, planning and time management.
