A growing organization, with seven staffed chapters and families enrolled in 48 states, A Kid Again’s mission is to foster Hope, Happiness and Healing in the lives of families raising children with life-threatening conditions. Year-round, cost-free activities serving the entire immediate family provide a break from hospital stays, doctor appointments and surgeries. Qualifying kids represent more than 250 unique diagnoses including cancer, sickle cell, Cystic Fibrosis, seizure disorders, and Down syndrome, to name a few.
A Kid Again was founded in 1995 in Columbus, Ohio (where the national office is based) and currently has a staff of 35 fulltime employees. The organization serves 30,000+ individuals (including qualifying child, parents and siblings) and has a $8-million operating budget.
This position is a member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the National CEO, and is responsible for driving the strategic fiscal vision for a growing organization. This includes ensuring adequate controls are in place and maintained in order to meet programmatic needs. The successful candidate will bring experience and knowledge of the nonprofit industry to help forge growth on a national scale.
The CFO is responsible for overall financial operations and is accountable for all aspects of the day-to-day fiscal management of the organization. The position oversees accounting practices, maintains the organization’s records, prepares financial reports, and develops policies and practices that ensure fiscal soundness.
